Idea of work
Again, everything happened spontaneously, without preliminary preparations and ideas. But the image of a girl in combination with polar bears made me think of the northern lights in the person of Aurora — the goddess of the morning dawn in Roman mythology, which is also the name for the Lights, in my case the Northern or Polar (Aurora Borealis). Well, I added the polar owls to the team of my characters in this work. The duality of the faces of the goddess seemed to me also interesting, one extraterrestrial, the second terrestrial, so I kept them as well.
Technically, given that this is a radiance, I used a little watercolor and instead of the usual pen I used a pencil so that there was more opportunity to make translucency in the radiance and dress of my goddess. For a long time I wanted to try to do this, after my work «Pangea», where I accidentally stumbled upon this effect. I had to suffer with the Radiance itself, which in the form of wings and an extension of the head may seem a little different, but in the end I hope it looks like it.
