Idea of work and Technics
This is the first work for which I wanted to write something before I finished it.
And this time I relied on my imagination, subconscious, or hoped that once again a piece of paper would reveal its soul to me… I’m not afraid to say that every time some new image or plot is revealed to me, I perceive it’s like a small miracle and I hope that this will continue to happen in the future. Always, when I try to find something in the interweaving of lines, I lack some kind of artistry, so that everything is not so carefully adjusted and thought out. It’s not that I’m not happy with what comes out of a strict composition of lines and shapes, but I always want some slight negligence and depth… Sometimes you start trying to bring this to life, but you don’t have the courage to move away from the clear structure of the work. But this time I finally managed, not in the lines, as I often do, but from the spots and blurriness, to see interesting images and from them I am already trying to complete everything the way I have long wanted to try.

The result is an otherworldly world with a demigod and a girl, in an equally mysterious environment of half-living columns and forms that also have consciousness. I immediately liked the duality of the male image that smoothly turns into the head of a dragon-like creature and vegetation. I had something like this in my head for a long time in the form of a small sketch. And apparently it was stuck in my head deeper than I thought and had been asking to come out for a long time. I plan to add even more details and images and I hope it will come out worthy of the idea that I originally had. An interesting inversion effect occurs when you look at the work from the right angle of light; the lead shines and also looks interesting.

Name
While working, Tiamat’s music was playing in my head, so I decided to call it that. The female personification of the primeval ocean of chaos, from which everything was born, including the gods, which could be more inspiring… So the slight incompleteness of the work only gives additional meaning to the fact that the world has not yet been fully created…
